Oreo update

Earlier we had shared the features which Android Oreo will be coming out with in this post, check it out if you haven't already.

Now I am sure you would be wondering if your phone is likely to get the update. Following is the list which is known/hypothesised to receive Android Oreo:

Google as always will be the first to roll out the update on its Pixel models, Nexus Player, 5X & 6P and recent tablet Pixel C. Intact those who have enrolled in beta program will receive a build today itself and non-beta people don't worry, you are going to receive them soon.

Expect Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, Nokia 8 to get Android Oreo most likely before any other non-Google manufacturers.

OnePlus 5 is expected to receive the update in next two months. OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T should be next in line and most likely by Jan 2018 they will be  running Android 8.0 which will probably their last update.

The latest flagship HTC U11 is slated to receive the new update. The previous flagships/other models might receive it but it might take a while.

The ZenFone 4 and ZenFone 3 series is definitely going to get it but probably in first quarter of 2018.

Official response is awaited from Samsung but rest assured Samsung Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition, Galaxy Tab S3 and the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo. Expect in next two to three months.

Confirmation awaited though Xperia XZ Series, Xperia X & XA1 should be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo.

The latest Lenovo K8 Note should be getting the update but not much hope for earlier models. Keep your fingers crossed. Ever since they acquired Motorola, Moto phones get updated only once though Moto Z2 should get Oreo by this year end. Previous generation and budget phone are not expected to make the cut.

LG G6, Q6, G5 and V20 are most likely to receive the update.

Essential PH-1 - Recently launched in US. The phone is expected to receive Android 8.0 though limited people are going to have this. A dream project from co-creator of Android Andy Rubin.

Coolpad Cool Play 6 - Is also slated a to receive the new Oreo. The company claims that 500 people are going to be hired solely for overseas markets and it will not repeat irregular updates like in past.
